A former resident of Wimberley, Texas, Lynda has focused her adult life on her family, church, and working with children. She was born in Harlingen, Texas and attended Texas State University in San Marcos. She has a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and a Master’s degree in Education. Lynda has been actively involved in education, having taught in public schools for seventeen years and serving as teacher and director at St. Stephen’s Episcopal School in Wimberley, Texas for nine years. She has also taught as an adjunct professor at Texas State University. Lynda is excited about the opportunity to work with the children, families, staff, and faculty at Episcopal Day School in Brownsville, Texas.
Mrs. Marroquin holds a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from University of Texas in San Antonio. She has extensive background in the field of Early Childhood Education and direct experience mentoring classroom teachers of varying levels of experience in Laredo, San Antonio and San Benito. Mrs. Marroquin has expertise in developing and providing professional development trainings related to early literacy instruction. Mrs. Marroquin and her husband, Juan, are the proud parents of three children- Stephanie, Juan Alejandro, and Alyssa. They are all students of Episcopal Day School.
Yvette returned to Brownsville after living in Benavides, Texas for 11 years. She was born and raised in Brownsville and has two children, Samuel and Briana. Yvette is pleased to be back home and working in such a warm, friendly, and Christian environment. Yvette received her Bachelors of Business Administration degree from The University of Texas at San Antonio, where she majored in Accounting. She comes to us with over 25 years of experience in accounting. She is proud to be a member of the Episcopal Day School Family.
Janette Reyna is our Administrative Assistant. She has a varied background having worked as a Plant Manager at a facility in the Port of Brownsville for almost 10 years. She also has served as an Instructional Specialist in the Early Childhood Department with the University of Texas at Brownsville. Mrs. Reyna is married and has four children, her two youngest currently attending EDS. She feels blessed to be part of the Episcopal Day School Family.
Rosie Flores is our office secretary, nurse and overall go-to girl. Since July 2013, Rosie has been the face of the EDS main office for parents and students, keeping our office running like a well-oiled machine. Rosie is also a proud EDS parent, with three children of her own attending the Day School.
